Description:
Pleurotus djamor , also known as Pink Oyster, is a tropical variety prized for its eye-catching clusters of pink mushrooms, ranging from pale pink to deep rose-red. They have a firmer texture than other oyster mushrooms, making them particularly flavorful and meaty in cooking.
Easy to grow, Pink Oysters are ideal for beginners: they quickly colonize the substrate and produce reliably, especially in warm environments. Outdoors, they perform best during the summer, with abundant and continuous fruiting. Being a tropical species, they require high humidity to thrive. It's important to know that they don't tolerate low temperatures and their shelf life is shorter than other oyster varieties.
How do you use spawn on sawdust?
- Pink Oyster sawdust mycelium is primarily used as an inoculum for grow beds and bucket or container crops.
- Pink Oyster mycelium must be mixed with a growing medium, such as straw, in order to fruit.
